As your Banff proposal photographer, I will help you plan every detail. This way, you can focus on asking the important question.

We’ll chat about your love story; how you met, what brought you to the Rockies, and how you knew they were “the one.” This helps me create a proposal experience that feels like you. I’ll also guide you through the best times to propose, based on light, crowds, and how it fits with your trip.
Once you’ve asked and they’ve said YES (cue the happy tears!), we’ll dive into a mini engagement session. I’ll capture the moment, that sparkly ring, and a mix of candid and posed photos you’ll treasure forever. I bring fun prompts so you can laugh, move, and just enjoy being together - because that’s when the real magic happens.

Looking for something a little more adventurous? Propose on the top of a mountain? I can certainly help you with a hiking and mountain summit proposal. The photo to the left is taken at the top of the Big Beehive in Lake Louise. From there, we walked back to the hotel together so I could get more amazing photos on the way back.

Will you go to lake louise or moraine lake?
Absolutely! There are a couple of points to keep in consideration though.
1. I do charge an extra $150 to go to either of these locations
2. You are no longer able to park at Moraine lake and is shuttle bus only now. You can book your bus at Moraine Lake Bus, Fairview Limo, Mountain Parks, or Ten Peaks
3. You can park at Lake Louise, but highly unlikely to get a spot unless you are there at around 4am! You can use the links listed above to book a shuttle as well there.
What does a helicopter proposal look like?
Ah! So much fun!! We'll work together to book a date and time. You give me a date or two that you would prefer and I'll contact the helicopter company to confirm if either of those works. Once they confirm, I'll get in contact with you again to get the payment (deposit of $2,000) and send you the confirmation.
We'll then all go up on the helicopter together, they'll stop at Marvel Pass for about 20-30 minutes where we can get out and explore. Now, I understand it would be weird for a photographer to be going up with you. I'm just there to "take some landscape photos for the helicopter company." Once we're up there, I'll ask if you two want a photo together. You'll say yes, I'll get one of you looking at me and I'll say "let's get one of you looking at each other" and that's your moment!
I'm awkward in front of the camera, can you help?
Of course! I get it, I can be awkward on the other side of the camera too. I'm here to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We'll start with a couple posed photos, get to know each other, and then I'll also do some prompts to get you and your hunny laughing and feeling all the love.
When will i receive my photos?
Summer in Banff National Park is BUSY! You can expect to receive your photos within 3-4 weeks after your shoot. There is also an add-on option for a "rush fee", meaning you'll get your photos within 3 days after your shoot. This doesn't mean I rush your editing, just means you get bumped to the top of my editing queue.
What should we wear?
I recommend wearing something that captures your style and you as an individual. However, I would steer away from bright colors (bright reds, orange, yellow). Neutrals are generally the best way to go; browns, whites, blacks, toned down greens and blues. I'll also send you a little style guide a week before your shoot as well so you can plan!
WHat time of day is best?
The best lighting in the park changes monthly. I'll go over exact times when we get to planning your booking. However, as a general rule, the best time of day is early morning or sunset. These times can range from 5am-10pm! The harsh lighting in the afternoon can cause harsh shadows, squinted eyes, and blown out mountains. I get it though, it can be hard with kiddos to wake up that early or stay up that late. So of course I have tricks I use to make all that work in our favor!
What if there's a specific photo i want?
I'm here to make your photo session the best! If there's any photo you want, I would recommend making a Pinterest folder and sending the link to me so I can see if it's possible! Due to lighting, location, and other logistics, I can't promise anything, but I'll definitely try.
